Through these unique and multifaceted approaches, I have successfully conducted these programs for hundreds of individuals, corporations, municipalities, and universities. I love my work and making a difference in people’s lives.
Futhermore, in November 2023, I will complete training at Duke Integrative Medicine as a Health & Wellness Coach, and will become nationally board-certified in early 2024.
This training will be the hallmark of all my previous educational pursuits, enabling me to provide my clients with the necessary tools to implement meaningful action steps that foster the development of enduring healthy habits and enhance their overall quality of life.
In the early stages of my career, I focused on the financial aspects of clinical programs, acquiring valuable experience at Deloitte and Touché, Beth Israel Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. With a solid educational background, holding a BS and MBA in Healthcare Administration from Boston University, I have established a strong foundation in healthcare management.
On a personal level, I have embraced yoga and mindfulness for over two decades, complementing my passion for a physically active lifestyle as a former marathon runner.
My own transformative life journey has inspired me to dedicate myself to teaching stress reduction and mind-body practices. I take great pride in my education and training, having participated in renowned Mind/Body programs throughout the country, including:
- Trained as a facilitator of the Stress Management and Resiliency Program (SMART) at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Mind/Body medicine program, The Benson Henry Institute.
- Completed the Mindfulness for Professionals training at Duke Integrative Medicine.
- Completed Ananda meditation instructor training
- Completed Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra® instructor training
- Completed two Mindful-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) trainings through UCLA and Mindful Leader.
- Completed the RISE resiliency program at Kripalu.
- Completed the Mindful Self-Compassion Meditation Program with Dr. Kristen Neff and Dr. Chris Germer.
In addition, I hold yoga certifications in:
- YACEP and E-RYT 500-hour Yoga Alliance Certified instructor, specializing in Therapeutic Essentials, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin Yoga.
- Certified by the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
- Trauma-sensitive trained.
- Certified leader in Y12SR (Yoga for 12-step recovery) for addiction recovery.
In addition, in my earlier years as a yoga and mindfulness instructor, I had the privilege of serving as a lululemon ambassador for two terms, during which I developed a podcast series of guided meditations for the company.
Additionally, I completed an intensive two-year sound therapist training rooted in the science and lineage of Eastern traditions, under the guidance of my teacher in Nepal.
Active participation in the Sangha community at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center (CIMC) and attendance at silent retreats at CIMC and the Insight Meditation Society (IMS) are sources of inspiration for my practice. I have contributed as an assistant faculty at Kripalu in Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra as well.
One of my core focuses throughout my nearly decade-long career in integrative mental health has been conducting therapeutic yoga and meditation groups and workshops for various audiences.
I specialize in working with individuals dealing with autoimmune conditions, cancer recovery, pain management, and mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, addiction, and PTSD.
I have also spearheaded mind/body grant programs for chronic pain at the South Shore Spine Center and facilitated meditation and yoga groups for addiction recovery. Moreover, I have developed and taught workshops aimed at equipping participants with effective stress reduction tools.
At the MIIA Health Trust, I deliver a range of mind/body workshops in municipality wellness programs. I also offer my expertise through KGA and my own company, Hart Mind Body Solutions, catering to corporations, Emerson College, Tufts University, The Harvard Kennedy School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, South Shore Health, numerous corporations, and various municipalities.
I thoroughly enjoy sharing my knowledge with groups of all sizes, and I find great fulfillment in leading large mindfulness and lecture events, such as those held during Boston’s HUB week and Lakewood Ranch’s “Mindful Triathlon.”
As a member of The Brain Health Initiative team, a collaborative effort involving Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University, and the Academy of Brain Health.
I have contributed to an extensive video series of meditations and lectures aimed at managing stress during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, I actively participate in the FINER virtual pain program at Boston’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, providing support to chronic pain patients through a variety of mind-body modalities.
Recently, I have been training clinicians, social workers, chaplains, and bereavement counselors on burnout and boundaries while equipping them with invaluable mind-body tools to alleviate stress for both caregivers and their patients.
Volunteering is a core value for me, and I am involved in various causes, including BHI’s Mind Body Conferences at Harvard Medical School, breast cancer awareness events at South Shore Hospital, empowerHER Mother’s Day Retreats, Massachusetts General Hospital, the Magical Moon Farm, South Shore Health, the Youth Health Alliance, Well Strong, JPH at Ferry Hill, and more.
I have a diverse range of professional experiences that revolve around holistic well-being and the integration of mind and body. My work encompasses servicing private clients, corporate wellness programs, and employee assistance programs at MIIA Health Benefits Trust, KGA Associates, Work Life Institute, and the Harvard Kennedy School.
Additionally, I have a thriving private corporate lecturing practice, where I share my expertise in therapeutic yoga and meditation with individuals and groups. As a firm believer in the transformative power of nature, I founded South Shore Beach Yoga, a program that allows me to combine my passion for yoga and meditation with the beauty of the beach.
In summary, I approach my role as an instructor with compassion and dynamism, empowering individuals to heal and thrive in managing stress and illness in their own lives. My teachings of mind-body principles are deeply authentic, shaped by my extensive education, personal practices, life journey, and rich experiences working in teaching hospitals and the corporate world.
The essence of all my work lies in teaching others the value of and how to access the mind-body connection across various industries and patient care settings.
My main interest lies in understanding the scientific effects of mindfulness, meditation, yoga, sound therapy, and other mind-body techniques on the brain, central nervous system, and immune system, recognizing the power of the mind-body connection.
I am dedicated to working with diverse modalities and populations, assisting individuals in achieving health and wellness while providing therapeutic guidance for those affected by anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, trauma, and physical challenges.
Central to my work is the belief in empowering my students to discover the transformative power of the “Relaxation Response” within themselves.-
